Welcome to Blacephorum! In order for the forum to run smoothly, we ask all users to read the New Trainer Guide before posting. Users must be 18 or older to register.
Your listed age on your profile is your CHARACTER'S age.
Blacephorum is a forum inspired by Sonic Krazy Kult, though the intended style of posting isn't intended to be, uh, one to one. The idea for this forum is that when users make an account, they're making a human character within the Pokemon universe to post as. Users are allowed to have as many accounts as they wish, and each account is expected to be dedicated to a character to further the "feel" of a bunch of Pokemon Trainers chatting on a forum. It is, at its core, a roleplay forum!
The format of posting is similar to those "Tweets from the Pokemon World" accounts; your character is diegetically typing and posting whatever you type. This isn't the kind of roleplay where you write out a character's thoughts and describe their actions. None of the characters inherently exist within the same space, they're just logging on to post on the same website.
This forum is split into roleplay and non-roleplay categories; "IC" -- "in character" -- and "OOC" -- "out of character" -- respectively. Individual sub-categories are marked as IC or OOC in the title themselves, as well as with icons (Glameow for OOC and Furret for IC). Please be sure to keep roleplay posts to IC, and non-roleplay posts to OOC.
While users are required to be 18 or older, characters themselves can be 13 or older (though, in the fiction of the roleplay, users are meant to be 16 or older, so having a character that is younger than 16 may cause other characters in the roleplay to, well, act the way forum users tend to act when someone too young for the social circle is present. It's all meant to be for fun, so don't take it too seriously or be too mean, even in roleplay, unless the person you're roleplaying with has expressed that they'd like to joke around in this way).
Before posting, please read over the following pages. Pages labelled [OOC] are the actual rules of the forum that you are expected to follow across all facets. Breaking them will result in warnings or a ban depending on the severity. Pages labelled [IC] are information about the roleplay world itself, as well as the rules of the forum as they exist in-character (such as the aforementioned "16+" guidelines). They will usually not result in any sort of penalization.
